Each patient may present with unique bone morphology and bone quality. Selecting a femoral stem that best matches a patient’s femoral anatomy may improve procedural outcomes. As such, we acknowledge that there is no one stem type that ideally fits all femur types as defined by Dorr. This webcast will feature a discussion that examines a variety of femoral component designs that may enhance the surgeon’s ability to personalize hip arthroplasty procedures based on the patient specific characteristics. The panel will discuss potential pitfalls, and interoperative remedies of Type A femurs, as well as addressing concerns and solutions for the management of Type C femurs.
