SUMMARY:HUMERAL LATERALIZATION: WHAT IS IT? IS IT REALLY USEFUL?
DESCRIPTION:Since the introduction of reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) over 40 years ago\, many prosthesis designs have endeavored to improve shoulder pain and function. The biomechanics of RSA continues to be studied and better understood and one of the main topic is humeral lateralization. Prof Matthias Zumstein will show how this parameter influences the classification of reverse shoulder prosthesis into three different types: inlay\, semi-inlay and onlay. Moreover\, he will explain why humeral lateralization is an important parameter to be evaluated during the preoperative phase to achieve an accurate shoulder replacement. \nFaculty: \n\nProf. Dr. med. DESCRIPTION:Surgeons are facing an ever more challenging scenario in THA\, with higher demand patients and focus on individualized patient care.\nIn the clinically successful tradition of broach-only rectangular triple-tapered stems\, P Family Hip System is a comprehensive and cutting-edge system of femoral implants designed to bring solid clinical performance in modern THA: from potential for an optimized restoration of native biomechanics in a variety of individual femoral anatomies\, to enhanced short- and long-term stability under increasingly high demand conditions.\nDr. med. Kalberer and Dr. med. Christofilopoulos will outline the design rationale and the distinctive features of P Family stems\, and share their clinical experience and outcomes.\nThe panel will also discuss interesting cases\, addressing questions from the audience and providing useful tips & tricks on different aspects\, from pre-op planning to post-op care.\nFaculty: \n\nDr. med. Panayiotis Christofilopoulos (Hôpital de la Tour\, Meyrin\, CH)\nDr. med. Fabian Kalberer (Kantonsspital Winterthur\, Winterthur\, CH)\n\nIN CASE YOU MISSED IT

SUMMARY:PATIENT MATCHING FEMORAL IMPLANTS FOR THA – ONE STEM TYPE DOES NOT FIT ALL
DESCRIPTION:Each patient may present with unique bone morphology and bone quality. Selecting a femoral stem that best matches a patient’s femoral anatomy may improve procedural outcomes. As such\, we acknowledge that there is no one stem type that ideally fits all femur types as defined by Dorr. This webcast will feature a discussion that examines a variety of femoral component designs that may enhance the surgeon’s ability to personalize hip arthroplasty procedures based on the patient specific characteristics.  The panel will discuss potential pitfalls\, and interoperative remedies of Type A femurs\, as well as addressing concerns and solutions for the management of Type C femurs. \nFaculty: \n\nRyan Molli\, DO (Whole Health Joint Replacement Institute/Meadville\, PA\, US)\nPeter Thadani\, MD (Illinois Bone & Joint Institute/Chicago\, IL\, US)\nRonald Singer\, MD (OrthoCarolina/Charlotte\, NC\, US)\n\nIN CASE YOU MISSED IT
