Vicente J. León Muñoz is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon specialized in knee surgery. He develops its clinical and research activity at Hospital Clínico Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca (Murcia, Spain). He graduated from Valencia University (Spain) in 1993 and in 2000 became Consultant, after training in the area of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at Hospital de l´Esperança (Barcelona, Spain). His work in knee reconstruction and his research projects are mainly oriented towards patient specific implant positioning in primary and revision surgery. He is member of the following Scientific Societies: Spanish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT), Spanish Knee Society (SEROD; currently he is the Society's treasurer), Spanish Society for Quality Care (SECA) and European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).
